It is with a little bit of a heavy heart that I am announcing the closure of Dirty Birdy Toys.
I’ve had a fun ride, met some remarkable people, honed many of my skills, and learned a lot about resiliency. However, between ever-tightening margins, some personal needs that have been going unmet, and setting my sights on some new goals, it’s time for da bird to wrap things up.
Here is more or less the plan for the next 2 months:
- All of the remaining colour experiments, not-quite-right Semi Customs, and mishaps have been sorted and put up for sale at a discount. There are some pretty cool pours in there that I am sad to see go.
- Semi-customs are all 15% to encourage sales and deplete our silicone stock. This is your last chance to get your hands on a Strange Bedfellas toy with your choice of colours for the foreseeable future!
- Toy sales will be over by the end of October, or when supplies run out-whichever comes first.
In the meantime, you are probably wondering what will become of Strange Bedfellas in Europe? Even if all of the details were worked out, I would not be at liberty to say. Meesh will undoubtedly make a huge announcement if and when they find a new overseas partner.
Some of you might also be wondering what will become of the Dirty Birdy designs in the shop. I will be making a couple of tweaks, and putting the files up for sale in the near future. This will be part of our website’s future transition from sales to 3d modeling and website design services. (Hit me up if you’re interested!)
